Our Mission:

"To cultivate and support our regional EMS agencies and providers as they provide excellent emergency care to all people in need."
Central Shenandoah EMS Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization serving a mission to cultivate and support our region's EMS agencies and providers as they provide excellent  emergency care to all people in need.  Central Shenandoah EMS Foundation serves a population of nearly 300,000 people, over 1,800 certified EMS providers, and 52 licensed EMS agencies in the Counties of Augusta, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge, and Rockingham and the Cities of Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Staunton and Waynesboro. The CSEMS EMS Foundation is also one of the largest American Heart Association Training Centers, and offers additional programs from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute and the National Association of EMTs.

Corporate Information

This organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt agency.  It is an integral part of Virginia's comprehensive EMS system. It serves to assess, identify, coordinate, plan and implement efficient and effective regional EMS delivery systems in partnership with Virginia's Office of Emergency Medical Services and EMS Advisory Board.
The Board meets on the third Tuesday of the first month of each calendar quarter.  Meetings are held at the Central Shenandoah EMS Council office building on West Beverley Street Staunton. Meetings begin at 2:00 PM.
