In recognition of National EMS Week, we invite you to a special free screening of Honorable But Broken: EMS In Crisis on May 22nd at 7 pm, a compelling documentary that sheds light on the growing emergency within our nation’s EMS system. Through powerful storytelling and real-life accounts, this film explores the critical challenges faced by EMTs and paramedics, the ongoing workforce shortage, and the serious consequences of an underfunded and, in many ways, unregulated system. We would also love for non-EMS community members and family to attend this important screening. Understanding the challenges faced by our EMS professionals is crucial for everyone. Please feel free to share this invitation and the Facebook event link with anyone who might be interested. This screening offers a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the pressing issues within the EMS landscape. We are also thrilled to announce that Our Virginia Office of EMS Director, Dr. Maria Beermann-Foat, who is featured in the documentary, will be in attendance. This will be a fantastic chance to meet Dr. Beermann-Foat and potentially engage in discussion following the film. Free Continuing Education (CE) credits and popcorn will be provided to all attendees. We believe this documentary will be insightful and thought-provoking for all agencies and providers involved in emergency medical services. We strongly encourage you to attend and join this important conversation. Register here now! Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our community. We look forward to seeing you there. |
